Another pleasant start to the morning with a light NW wind and shifting 2 ft peaks which saw many great battles fought for the day leaving Corey Maclean,Dave Winchester and Mike Stewart among the unlucky ones bowing out. the day also saw quite a few verry close heats notably the state junior final with only 2 points separating first and fifth. A big shout out to the gromets showing us all the future of the sport looks to be in good hands.
A big thankyou goes out Pam for her skills on the BBQ,Frank and Brett for there tabulating prowess , Craig and his crack team of expert Judges,Mel Rigby for paddling out to keep the ignorant in check and everyone else who gave up a peice of their time to make this event posible
Thankyou to our sponsors for the generous support

If your no down at Dbah, get down here now. The event is about to start soon so get those two feet and a heart beat movin on down to dbah.
Inconsistent 2 ft peaks coming through.
Day provided some better conditiona early with 2-3 foot bumpy peeks but swell detiorated with the North wind sweeping in not long after. This did not detract from some riders still achieving some high scores around 9’s. With quite a few count backs making for some close competition.
It’s awesome to see so many people helping out and a special thanks to the guys who helped set up this morning and to Pam son the BBQ.
First up tomorrow @ 7.00a.m. is Pro Mens Heat 4, which will continue through the day, so be there to check out the likes of Dave Winchester, Brad Hughes, Joe (Johnsie) Clarke, and many more throughout the morning.

Round 1 contested today in poor to fair conditions. 1-2 foot fun waves on offer.
A few upsets for the day including some big names being taken down. Ryan Hardy,
Jeff Hubbard and Thorpe Waluew having to call it a day.
There were some amazing scores going down especially considering the conditions.
Lachlan Chramsie scored a 9.8 average after getting 2 perfect 10’s and a 9.5.
Hayato Enokido also cleaned up getting 2 10’s and a 9 respectivly. Well done lads!
First up for QAB tomorrow is juniors at 7am.
Special thanks to our sponsors for making the event possible.
