another beautiful day on the gold coast starting off with squally 2-3ft peaks improving in time for the finals with a lot of high scoring waves popping up even in the sometimes testing conditions.
notable mentions today were
dave winchester with 8’s and 9’s in what ever division he was in proving he is as versatile as they come.
niall gibney the 12 year old with the guts to have a go at the state level and take home a place in DK!!
daniel vernon consistently scoring 8’s and 9’s through the entire event

also groms,cadets and juniors the level of surfing in these divisions was drawing attention constantly over the weekend some of you boys should look at upping the ante and have a crack at the opens!
